JORDAN MORRIS Seattle Sounders, US Soccer
Jordan Morris is a member of both the United States Men’s National Soccer Team and the reigning MLS Champion Seattle Sounders.
Among Jordan’s impressive list of amateur accomplishments includes 2012 Golden Ball recipient for the best youth player in the country, 2X PAC-12 Conference Champion, 2015 NCAA Men’s Soccer National Champion, 2X All-American, and Hermann Trophy recipient, given to the best collegiate soccer player in the USA.
Jordan’s professional accomplishments are distinguished as well. Jordan is a two-time MLS champion and 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup Champion. In the 2017 Gold Cup, Jordan scored the game-winning goal for the Stars & Stripes in the 2-1 finals victory over Jamaica. In 2014, Jordan also earned the rare distinction of participating in an international soccer competition representing the United States National Team while being simultaneously enrolled in college (Stanford).
Jordan was an integral part of the Seattle Sounders two MLS championships and of his 33 career goals with the Sounders, 27 were scored in the 2016 and 2019 MLS championship seasons.
Jordan Morris has accomplished significant success despite having Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). In addition to his previous work supporting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Jordan has created his own foundation. The Jordan Morris Foundation is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and supporting young people dealing with the disease of Type 1 diabetes. As part of his commitment to supporting children diagnosed with T1D, Jordan regularly meets with kids afflicted with T1D prior to, or following, his soccer matches.
Jordan was born and raised in Seattle, WA where he currently resides.
