Chris Partridge
Guest Bio
Chris Partridge has climbed the football coaching ranks quickly while having much success in the past decade.
In 2010, Partridge took over a Paramus Catholic High School football program that was the 4,250th ranked team in the country. Five years later, after winning a New Jersey state championship and achieving the distinction of being ranked the 4th best team in the country, Partridge left Paramus Catholic for the University of Michigan.
While at Michigan, Partridge earned the College Football National Recruiter of the Year honor, by Scout, in 2016. In 2017, Partridge earned the same honor from 247.Sports.
Initially at Michigan, Partridge served as Director of Player Personnel. After that he served two years as the linebackers coach then two years as the safeties coach.
At Michigan, Partridge also served as the Special Teams Coordinator where his units routinely outperformed opponents. Partridge set a Michigan program record in single season yards per punt and his kickoff coverage unit led the nation in 2017 allowing a paltry 15 yards per return.
Furthermore, his kickoff returnman, Donovan Peoples-Jones, earned Freshman All-American honors in 2017.
Defenses on which Partridge had coached at Michigan were near the top, or at the top of several different statistical categories in each of his four years in a position coaching role.
Partridge joins Mississippi as a co-Defensive Coordinator this season in his first year with the Rebels.
Partridge is a graduate of Lafayette College (2003) where he served as the secondary coach. Prior to becoming the head coach at Paramus Catholic, Partridge also coached defensive line at The Citadel in South Carolina.
Partridge also boasts a wonderful wife, Marissa, and two terrific daughters, Mia and Gianna.
